Summary
Namizy is a free tool that does not require accounts and does not sell personal data. We process the minimum needed to operate the service, measure aggregate usage, and earn affiliate commissions that keep the tools free.
Data we process
Search inputs. Domains and usernames you check are sent to our API to perform the lookup against public registry (RDAP) and platform data. Queries are processed transiently and logged in aggregate (endpoint, counts, latency, country derived from IP) for capacity and abuse monitoring. We do not build profiles of individual users' searches.
Affiliate clicks. When you click a registrar or hosting link, we log the domain, partner, timestamp, a truncated hash of your IP (not the IP itself) and your browser's user-agent string, to measure conversion and detect click fraud. The partner site then applies its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Analytics. If enabled, Google Analytics 4 collects standard usage events (pages viewed, approximate location, device class) under Google's privacy terms. You can block GA with any content blocker without affecting the tools.
Cookies
Namizy itself sets no tracking cookies. Third parties (Google Analytics, affiliate partners after a click) may set their own according to their policies.
Data retention and sharing
Aggregate logs are retained up to 12 months. We do not sell or rent data. Data is shared only with processors necessary to run the service (hosting, analytics) and as required by law.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws you may request access to or deletion of personal data we hold. Given our minimal collection, the practical answer is usually that we hold no data identifying you — but you can always reach us via the contact page.
